Equality Week
East Ayrshire Council is holding an equality week from 3 March 2012 to 10 March 2012
The aim of the week is to raise awareness of equality and diversity issues.
Equality has been one of East Ayrshire Council’s 4 core values since its inception, and these values, as they relate to disability, race, sex, age, sexual orientation, religion or belief/nonbelief, transgender, marriage and civil partnership and pregnancy and maternity are as relevant today as they were then.
The programme cover has been designed by pupils in our local schools and nurseries. All competition entries will be on display in various locations throughout the week.
This application contains details of the programme of events that will take place during Equality Week, both within the Council and in communities across East Ayrshire. There will also be four sessions from Nil By Mouth in New Farm Primary, James Hamilton Academy, Greenmill Primary and Cumnock Primary.
Equality week has been funded through the Awards For All grant programme.
